PUDUCHERRY (PONDICHERRY): PLACES TO VISIT
Puducherry (previously known as Pondicherry) is a Union Territory, comprised of the city of Pondicherry and the surrounding district of Puducherry. It is one of the French-administered enclaves, which, after independence from the French in 1954, became under Union control. The others are Daman and Diu. This city has retained many of the charms of French occupation.
